LRQA is proud to announce that we are now accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) for FSSC 22000, one of the first certification bodies to achieve this award. It means that we have been assessed by UKAS and that we demonstrated our competence, impartiality and performance capability.
The result is that from January 1st 2011 we will be able to issue accredited FSSC 22000 certificates. Already issued FSSC 22000 certificates can be changed into an accredited one from January 1st 2011.
FSSC 22000 is a complete certification scheme for food safety management systems. It is based on ISO 22000, the global food safety management system standard and PAS 220, a standard developed to address prerequisite programme requirements for food product and ingredient manufacturers.
LRQA are also hosting two complimentary webinars in 2011, follow the links Safety in the food supply chain: where are we now? and An update on FSSC 22000, to find out more and register.
