Sustainable Fishery in Indonesia

Indonesia is the second largest fish producer in the world and catch volumes continue to increase. Fish products account for 54% of the national animal protein intake. However, some Indonesian fish stocks are being overfished and domestic food security, local socio-economics and marine biodiversity are at risk. To overcome these challenges, the Indonesian government has been working with stakeholders towards sustainable fisheries.

Lloyd’s Register in collaboration with WWF Indonesia hosts this seminar to discuss the importance of sustainable fishery in the country and how it can benefit the organisations and the ecosystem together.

Martin Gill - Martin heads the global seafood team within Lloyd’s Register that services clients’ assurance requirements globally across 40 countries and across the seafood supply chain. He has over 30 years’ experience of working with international seafood sector and market.

Achmad Mustofa - An alumnus of the Diponegoro University and The University of Queensland, Achmad is the Capture Fisheries National Coordinator with WWF Indonesia.

Budhi Wibowo - Budhi is the Chief of Indonesia Fishery Product Processing & Marketing Association (AP5I).
